The Mud Hens want to get the word out: There are plenty of tickets available for Friday's game at which Crystal Bowersox, one of four finalists on American Idol, could be back in Toledo to sing The Star Spangled Banner.

Because of a miscommunication, it was reported that only 500 tickets were available for the 7 p.m. game between the Hens and the Indianapolis Indians at Fifth Third Field.

Not so, says a top Hens official.

"We want to retract that number 500," said Scott Jeffer, the ball team's assistant general manager and director of marketing. "There are many great seats available."

Mr. Jeffer didn't know how many seats, exactly, are available, but he said fans of the Hens and Ms. Bowersox can easily buy tickets by calling 419-725-HENS or visiting mudhens.com.

The 24-year-old singer from Elliston, Ohio, in Ottawa County has agreed to sing the National Anthem before the game if she doesn't get voted off the show before then.

She and the three other finalists - Lee DeWyze, Michael Lynche, and Casey James - will give live performances on the show Tuesday, after which the public will vote on which one to eliminate. The results of the vote will be released Wednesday.

The Hens also invited her to sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the seventh-inning stretch and to perform during a slot after the game and before the fireworks. But the singer and Fox Television have not committed to anything besides the anthem.
