Walbridge Park's arch to be dedicated in ceremony today

A dedication ceremony for the Walbridge Park Arch, designed and constructed by artists Tom Askman and Lea Ann Lake, will be held at 5:30 p.m. today at the arch adjacent the Broadway Street entrance to the Toledo Zoo, 2700 Broadway. Immediately following the dedication will be a reception in the Walbridge Park Shelter House, with music by Extra Stout beginning at 7 p.m.

The Perrysburg Artists Co-Op Gallery is sponsoring a 50/50 fine art and craft sale from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 4 at D'Vine Designs, 116 Louisiana Ave., Perrysburg. The sale consists of 50 works, with 50 percent of sales going to the Perrysburg Area Arts Council to promote art classes for students of all ages. Information: 419-874-9317.

Dziak Gallery, 110 West Main St. Marblehead, will host Art at the Lake, featuring the mixed media works of 20 northwest Ohio artists, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Flatlanders Art Galleries, 11993 East U.S. 223, Blissfield, Mich., presents five solo exhibitions featuring sculpture by Megan Merrell, Dan Foote, Catherine Peet and Ken Thompson and the paintings of the late Michael Joseph.
