The public is invited to participate in a celebration and unveiling of a three-panel mural by artist Yusuf Lateef, which was inspired by conversations with North Toledo youths and reflects their shared visions, at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Stickney Banquet Hall, 3247 Stickney Ave. The event is a part of Toledo's "Erase the Hate" campaign and is free. The Toledo-Lucas County Library Main Branch, 325 Michigan St., presents the traveling exhibition "Painting with Paper," featuring original children's book illustrations by award-winning Toledo author and illustrator Denise Fleming, from Oct. 21 through Dec. 20 in the second-floor gallery.
