Call for artists: Imagine your art splashed on a giant electronic billboard, seen by thousands of people. Local individuals or teams working in any media may submit up to three artworks for consideration for this new project, a collaboration between the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo and Toledo Detroit Outdoor Media, owner of the billboards. Ad content typically cycles through these giant screens every eight seconds and selected pieces will be added to the loop on two local billboards. The goal is to enhance the city's reputation as a center of creativity and culture. Deadline is Aug. 31. Download the prospectus from the Call For Artist section at theartscommission.org or contact Dan Hernandez (dhernandez@acgt.org and 419-254-2787).
