Northeast Ohio teen makes it to Carnegie Hall for art work

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio  — An Ohio teenager heads this week to New York’s Carnegie Hall for producing award-winning animation art work.

High School senior Alex Reynolds of Pepper Pike near Cleveland will be honored Friday at Carnegie Hall with a $10,000 scholarship and gold medal from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

Reynolds’ art work will be featured as part of a two-week exhibit in Manhattan.

In all, 15 graduating seniors from across the country will get scholarships.

The event will be webcast live and will feature actress Sarah Jessica Park and fashion designer Zac Posen.

Past Scholastic winners include Stephen King, Robert Redford and Andy Warhol.
