Whitehouse photographer wins contest

Whitehouse photographer Michelle Terry has been named the winner of the Design A Banner Contest by the Whitehouse Arts Advisory Board. Part of the downtown beautification project, her banners will be displayed on Providence Street through the summer. The banners are printed from five of her photos.

The banners will be auctioned on Nov. 22, with proceeds benefiting village displays and projects.

Also, the board is taking applications for the Buskerfest, set for Aug. 17. Preregistration is required.
