Ex-Chrysler CEO named to lead electric-car firm

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Electric car company Fisker Automotive said Tuesday it hired Tom LaSorda, former Chrysler Group LLC chief executive officer, as CEO.

Mr. LaSorda is Fisker’s vice chairman and is an adviser to the private company’s management team. He replaces Fisker co-founder Henrik Fisker, who will become executive chairman.

Until Chrysler emerged from bankruptcy protection last year, LaSorda was vice chairman, president, and a board member. He also was chief executive of Chrysler when it was owned by Daimler AG.
