Final gas-cap testing planned at 3 area sites
7/31/2012Two public agencies will offer their final gas-cap testing events of the summer today through Thursday at three Toledo-area filling stations.
By offering the tests and free replacement caps for vehicles that flunk, the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments and Toledo Division of Environmental Services hope to reduce gasoline-vapor pollution and fuel waste.
The tests will be offered today at the Barney’s BP at 3126 Secor Rd.. Wednesday at the Circle K at 4562 Woodville Rd., Northwood, and Thursday at the TrueNorth Shell, 298 W. Dussel Dr., Maumee. Hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m.
