Goodyear buys, runs 4 Tom’s Tire centers
10/24/2013The four Tom’s Tire & Auto services centers in the Toledo area have been sold to Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
Capital Tire Group, the local owner of Tom’s Tire & Auto, will still own the property and the buildings and plans to lease them back to Goodyear. Capital Tire will continue to supply tires and other products to Goodyear.
“They going to run the stores, and we will still supply them. They will own the business side of it,” said Thomas Geiger, Sr., owner of Capital Tire.
Tom’s Tire & Auto has about 40 employees who will be kept by Goodyear, Mr. Geiger said.
