Outlook: The Rebels are seeking a third consecutive City League title.

The graduation of CL player of the year Mark Washington (1,157 rushing yards) and Khane Collins (1,484 rushing yards) leaves the Rebels looking for replacements in the backfield.

Junior running back Raphael Perryman (5-8, 160) will have a shot at being a primary carrier behind an offensive line that returns all five starters, including Satterfield, an all-league first team lineman, Mack, an all-league second-teamer, and Wood, an all-league honorable mention.

Hill, an All-CL first team tight end, also provides strength up front and pass-catching potential as the Rebels top returning receiver.

Suddeth figures as the replacement for Bowsher graduate Mac Jewell at the QB spot. How well he handles the role could have plenty to do with how tough a task it will be for the Rebels to contend for another championship.

“This year’s team is very athletic,” Lubinski said. “The offense will be different than last year’s ‘ground and pound.’

“Several starters return off of last year’s city championship team. Team speed will play a big part in this year’s success.”
