3 BG seniors sign minor contracts

BOWLING GREEN - Three seniors from the Bowling Green State University hockey team have signed professional contracts.

Steve Brudzewski and Chris Pedota signed with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL, while the Port Huron Beacons of the United Hockey League signed Ryan Minnaberriet.

Minnaberriet, a forward, had six goals and 17 assists for 23 points in 36 games this season. For his career the Ashcroft, B.C., native had 24 goals and 44 assists.

Brudzewski, a forward, recorded eight goals and four assists in 31 games this season. The Dearborn, Mich., product had 35 goals and 26 assists in his career.

Pedota, a defenseman, recorded a goal and three assists in 16 games. The Westbury, N.Y., native finished with a goal and 12 assists in his career.

Bowling Green finished 16-16-4 this year and lost to Alaska-Fairbanks in the first round of the CCHA tournament.

Tickets are available to post-season banquets honoring the Bowling Green State University men's basketball and hockey teams.

The men's basketball team will be feted tomorrow at the Lenhart Grand Ballroom in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. A social begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

Tickets cost $25 per person, $40 per couple and $200 for an eight-person table. For tickets, contact the basketball office at 419-372-2255.

The banquet for the hockey team will be held Saturday, April 16 at the Lenhart Grand Ballroom in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. That event will begin with a social at 3:30 p.m., followed by the banquet at 4 p.m.

Tickets are $20 per person or $200 for a table for eight, with the guarantee of a Falcon hockey player seated at the table.
