BOWLING GREEN - Bowling Green State University defeated Ohio State 2-0 last night at the Ice Arena, its second win over the Buckeyes in two nights.

The Falcons (10-11-1) have won six in a row for the first time since 1994-95.

Brett Pilkington scored early for Bowling Green on a 5-on-3 power play, with assists from Michael Hodgson and Mike Falk.

Sophomore Derek Whitmore added an empty-net goal with just 22 seconds remaining.

Senior goaltender Jon Horrell had 23 saves for the Falcons.

"Give credit to all our guys," BG coach Scott Paluch said. "We always talk about the little things and I thought we won enough puck battles to make the plays. I am just real proud of our guys to hold up for six periods against a real good hockey team."
