BGSU's Matt Johnson named player of the week

BOWLING GREEN -- Bowling Green State University quarterback Matt Johnson today was named Mid-American Conference East Division offensive player of the week.

The sophomore completed 19-of-22 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns in the Falcons' 48-7 win over Murray State. Johnson's 86.4 completion percentage was the fifth-best single-game total in program history.

Johnson, who received this honor for the second time in three weeks, led the Falcons to 660 yards of total against the Racers, the most yards for the team since 2004.
