BOWLING GREEN -- Bowling Green State University hockey standout Ryan Carpenter suffered his second injury this season, and the date of his return to the Falcons lineup in unknown.

The junior forward, a pre-season All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association choice who led the Falcons in scoring last season, was hit in the skate by a puck during practice Wednesday morning and fractured a bone in his foot.

The school announced today that Carpenter will be out indefinitely, but surgery is not expected.

Carpenter has not played since BG's exhibition game against Wilfrid Laurier after suffering a wrist injury in that contest.
