■ Notes: The Falcons look to avenge an 87-84 triple-overtime loss to the Bulls last season in the second game of a Stroh Center doubleheader. … The three overtime game included a rally that saw the Falcons overcome a seven-point deficit in the final minute of regulation, and also had a 20-minute delay in the first overtime when the lights went out. … South Florida’s coach, Stan Heath, was an assistant coach at BG from 1994-96. He also led Kent State to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament in 2001-02. … The Bulls opened the season with home wins against Tennessee Tech and Bethune-Cookman. … Senior forward Victor Rudd has averaged 18.5 points in the team’s first two games. … Each team has a connection with Flint, Mich., as USF’s roster includes Flint Powers grad Javontae Hawkins, while BG’s J.D. BG beat Iona last week and still has games against Marist and Monmouth. … The Purple Eagles return nine letter-winners, including three starters, from last season’s 15-16 team. … Junior guard Meghan McGuinness scored 25 points in the loss at Lehigh. … The Falcons are 2-0 after winning Iona’s Tip-Off Tournament thanks to victories over Michigan and Iona. … Senior guard Jillian Halfhill led BG with 28 points in the two wins, while senior forward Alexis Rogers and sophomore Erica Donovan each had 22. … Katrina Salinas suffered an injury prior to the trip to New York, and she is expected to miss the rest of the season.
