BGSU's Holmes named MAC East player of the week

BOWLING GREEN -- Bowling Green State University men's basketball player Richaun Holmes was named Mid-American Conference East Division player of the week for the second week in a row.

The junior forward scored 38 points, grabbed 19 rebounds and blocked 14 shot to lead the Falcons to a pair of wins last week.

Holmes recorded his first career double-double at BG with 21 points and 14 rebounds in a home win over North Dakota on Dec. 11, then followed that up with 17 points and five rebounds in the team's victory at Morehead State Sunday.
