Bowling Greens slips past Robert Morris

PITTSBURGH — The Bowling Green State University hockey team skated away with third place after a 3-2 victory Saturday over Robert Morris in the Three Rivers Classic at the Consol Energy Center.

The Falcons (9-9-4) got goals from Brett Mohler, Bryce Williamson, and Kevin Defour to build a 3-0 lead in the third period before the Colonials (2-12-2) scored an even-strength goal with 6:25 remaining. RMU tacked on a score after pulling its goaltender to make it a one-goal game with 24 seconds remaining.

Bowling Green’s Tomas Sholl made 19 saves in net as the Falcons outshot Robert Morris 35-21.
