BGSU women's basketball team defeats Eastern Michigan 71-57

BOWLING GREEN -- The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team claimed a 71-57 win over Eastern Michigan at the Stroh Center tonight.

Alexis Rogers scored 24 points to lead the Falcons (15-3, 5-1 Mid-American Conference) while Deborah Hoekstra had 16 and Jillian Halfhill 14.

Rogers High School product Cha Sweeney scored 18 to tie Janay Morton for team scoring honors for Eastern Michigan (12-5, 2-4 MAC).
