BGSU's Cooper named offensive player of the week

BOWLING GREEN -- Bowling Green State University forward Mark Cooper was named Western Collegiate Hockey Association offensive player of the week, the league announced today.

Cooper had four points in two WCHA games last week, including the game-winning goal in the Falcons' 6-2 victory over Lake Superior State Saturday.

The sophomore from Toronto, Ont., had two assists against the Lakers Friday, then had a pair of goals in Saturday's victory.

Cooper currently has 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points in 28 games for BG this season.
