A $10 million gift by Findlay-native William Frack to the Bowling Green State University men's basketball program in 2001 has grown to about $20 million.

About three-fourths of the earnings from the trust created by Mr. Frack's donation — which went to the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation — goes to the basketball program, while the rest supports community programs in Hancock County.

The endowment will generate about $675,000 a year for the men's basketball program. A portion of the proceeds will generate a permanently sustainable fund that will support the homeless and victims of domestic violence in Hancock County.

Mr. Frack has long been a BGSU basketball fan, and he gave the university a large gift to help build the Stroh Center. Last month, he gave BGSU about $700,000 for a compensation package for men's basketball coach Chris Jans.
