Playing golf for the sake of charity were many folks who participated in golf outings this season.

The biggest one of them all starts Thursday. The Marathon Classic presented by Owens Corning and O-I will be at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania. The new title sponsor has brought more than 100 volunteers from all over the country to help with the event.
