Book fair nets $4,000 in Scholastic ‘cash’

Joe Wank, Woodmore Elementary principal, said the school book fair earned about $4,000 that will be used to buy books, videos, DVDs, and other supplies.

The school chose to take the earnings in Scholastic dollars that can be used to buy anything in the company’s catalog. If taken in cash, the the book fair’s earnings would have come to $1,500.
