Authors to converge for Writers on the River

The Monroe County Library System will hold its 15th annual Writers on the River book and author fair on Nov. 10 at the Ellis Library and Reference Center, 3700 S. Custer Rd. More than 25 authors of books in a variety of genres will be in attendance.

The event begins at noon and lasts until 3 p.m., ending a weekend of free activities at the library.

At 7 p.m. Nov. 8, an appearance is planned by Rhoda Janzen, author of Mennonite in a Little Black Dress; also scheduled is a 1:30 p.m. concert by Emmy Award-winning children’s entertainer Farmer Jason. On Nov. 9, Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award winner Jason Ringenberg will perform at 7 p.m.
