Best-selling author Tracy Chevalier will visit the Toledo Museum of Art on Feb. 2 in support of her new Penguin paperback, 'At the Edge of the Orchard.'
Best-selling author Tracy Chevalier will visit the Toledo Museum of Art on Feb. 2 in support of her new Penguin paperback, 'At the Edge of the Orchard.'

Best-selling author Tracy Chevalier will visit the Toledo Museum of Art on Feb. 2 in support of her new Penguin paperback, At the Edge of the Orchard.

Throughout her caree, Chevalier has written eight novels, the best known of which is Girl With a Pearl Earring, which has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide and was made into a film starring Colin Firth and Scarlett Johansson.

She has also curated three shows in art galleries and museums and has edited two short story collections.

She will speak at 7 p.m. in the museum’s Great Gallery. The free event is open to the public. Her books will be available for sale and signing.

At the Edge of the Orchard details the story of a pioneer family on the American frontier in the mid-19th century during the Gold Rush era.

Critics have praised the book, including People, which said “At the Edge of the Orchard brings to life a seminal chapter in American history.”
