Even if some people aren’t betting on what glorious name Prince William and Princess Kate will choose for their baby boy born Monday, they are still interested in finding out what the blonde-haired royal babe will be called.

I took some royal-watching temperatures today during my reporting. Although, not everyone is obsessed with the royal family, everyone I spoke to has seen the video of the couple introducing the baby for the first time posted by media outlets today.

Even my Italian mom, who said she didn’t have an idea on what the name would be - “non lo so" - jumped when I said I was working on a story about the name. “Oh. They have a name,” she asked with surprise. She calmed down once I told her the story was about guessing the name.

At the Market on Main, mother Robin Lutz with her daughter Cecilia agreed that the royal babe will take the name of his father, William.

However, Barb Peters, who was shopping with her grandson Spencer, 15 months, said her family wasn't thinking of a name, rather they were hoping her expectant daughter would give birth to a baby girl on the same day as Princess Catherine. That didn’t happen.
