Toledo native and former University of Connecticut basketball player Nate Miles will enroll at the College of Southern Idaho today with plans to join the basketball team there, according to a report last night on ESPN.com.

Miles, a 20-year-old freshman who had yet to play a game with the Huskies, was expelled from school earlier this month following his arrest for violating a restraining order filed by a 19-year-old woman against him.

Miles can begin practicing with the two-year school in Twin Falls, Idaho, today but won't be eligible to play until mid-December, according to the report.

CSI coach Steven Gosar told ESPN.com he had knowledge of the incident that got Miles expelled. But Gosar also added that he didn't have contact with anybody at Connecticut, only with Miles' "people" in Toledo.

Gosar did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment from The Blade.

Miles attended several high schools across the country, including Libbey and Waite.
