Bowling Green State University won at the University of Toledo for the first time in a decade Wednesday night, beating the Rockets 59-54.

The Falcons have now won six straight for the first time since the 2001 season and surpassed last season s win total. Their triumph over UT was their first road victory in this rivalry since Feb. 6, 1999.

BGSU (14-9, 7-3 Mid-American Conference) was led by seniors Darryl Clements and Nate Miller, who scored 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Jonathan Amos paced the Rockets (4-20, 2-8 MAC) with 21 points. Justin Anyijong added 11 points and Tyrone Kent contributed 10.

The Rockets closed to within two points twice within the game s final 3:15. They were down 55-50 with 1:45 to go, but were called for charging twice in their next two possessions.

BGSU limited UT to just 36.4 percent shooting. Five of the Falcons wins during their current streak have come against MAC West opponents.
