UT women roll to tourney win; BGSU women in Las Vegas today, Sunday

RENO, Nev. — Andola Dortch scored 15 opints and Yolanda Richards added 13 as the University of Toledo wpmen’s basketball team defeated Santa Clara 73-48 Friday night in the opening game of the John Ascuga’s Nugget Classic.

Riley McCormick tallied 12 poitns and Naama Shafir added 11 for the Rockets (3-1).

Ricki Radanovich led the Broncos (2-3) with 17 points.

UT shot 41 percent (26 of 64) from the floor and hit 11 of 19 free throws.

Santa Clara shot 40 percent (19 of 48), while hitting 5 of 12 free throws.

The Rockets held a 43-31 edge in rebounds with Brianna Jones leading UT with nine.
