UT's McIntyre wins MAC West weekly award

Toledo junior Kaayla McIntyre was named Mid-American Conference West Division player of the week, the MAC office announced Tuesday.

McIntyre scored with 0.2 seconds left to lift Toledo to a 69-68 overtime victory Saturday against Western Michigan in the lone game for the Rockets this past week.

Aside from hitting the game-winning shot, McIntyre dominated for much of the game, shooting 12-of-13 from the field for 25 points and 12 rebounds. She also recorded four assists and four steals in 42 minutes of action.

This is the second time this season that McIntyre has won the weekly award.
