UT's Janelle Noe sets MAC record in 1,500

BUFFALO — Senior Janelle Noe won the 1,500 meters in 4 minutes, 17.01 seconds to break the conference record as Toledo’s women’s track and field team finished third at the Mid-American Conference Championships at the University at Buffalo.

Noe broke the previous record of 4:17.34, set by Kent State’s Debbie Duplay in 1999.

Also, Bowling Green senior Aliyah Gustafson was named the Most Outstanding Field Performance winner after winning the shot put, placing third in the discus, and finishing fourth in the hammer throw.

Gustafson broke the school record in the shot put by throwing 57 feet, 5.75 inches Friday.
