The sentencing date was postponed in Lucas County Common Pleas Court Wednesday for the man involved in a 2009 shootout at a bar that received national attention.

Marquese Robbins, 32, of 1103 Norwood Ave. was slated to be sentenced after pleading no contest April 11 to two counts of felonious assault, one with a gun specification. Because the recommendation was that the sentences run concurrent, he faces up to 11 years in prison. Judge Gene Zmuda set a June 3 sentencing date.

Robbins was found guilty of firing into a crowded Route 66 Bar and Grill on Oct. 8, 2009. Despite about 20 shots being fired from four guns, no one was injured.

Toledo police identified Robbins as the key shooter shortly afterward. He was not arrested until months later and appeared for the first time in court last June.
