Fremont man sentenced to 6 years for arson

FREMONT — The last of three Fremont men convicted in connection with a Jan. 25 fire-bombing at a Hayes Avenue home was sentenced Monday to six years in prison.

Sandusky County Common Pleas Judge Barbara Ansted also ordered Nicholas Dahms, 18, to pay a share of $1,216 in restitution for damage to the house. He had pleaded guilty to aggravated arson and tampering with evidence.

Michael Liebold, 21, who pleaded guilty to the same charges, was sentenced this month to eight years in prison, and Alexander Alcala, 19, convicted on seven counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated arson, was sentenced to 16 years.
