Two female employees of Owens Community College filed a lawsuit against their employer in federal court Friday, claiming retaliation and sexual discrimination.

Mariann Reiter and Debora Pacewicz filed the complaint in U.S. District Court in Toledo. The women claimed that after complaining about a male superior — who subsequently resigned — they had been treated differently by management, including being denied pay raises and advancements.

The women work in the college’s business-services department.

The complaint, which was assigned to Judge Jack Zouhary, asks for in excess of $25,000 for both compensatory and punitive damages.
