FINDLAY — A 22-year-old Tiffin man accused of brutally beating to death a woman pleaded guilty Friday in Hancock County Common Pleas Court.

Daniel Bixler, of 84 Miami St., is charged with the March 26 aggravated murder of Vera Jo Reigle, 24, of Fostoria.

Bixler pleaded guilty to four other charges, including two counts of kidnapping, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence, according to court records.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on March 28.

Court documents indicate that a second defendant in the case, Nicole Peters, 18, of 4435 N. Township Rd., Fostoria, is scheduled for a hearing in Hancock County Common Pleas Court also Friday. She is charged with aggravated murder.

Ms. Reigle’s body was found by train operators on the tracks of a CSX trestle bridge over the Blanchard River, near the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., bridge in March.

An autopsy showed that Ms. Reigle, a mother to one young child, suffered multiple blunt and sharp trauma wounds all over her body.
