A Toledo man was released Monday after posting bond during his arraignment on charges related to almost a dozen car break-ins in Toledo early Sunday, authorities said.

Angelo Stoner, 18, of 444 Waggoner Blvd. was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on 10 charges of criminal damaging and one charge of possession of criminal tools; he posted a $5,500 bond.

Police said suspects used bats to break windows in at least 10 vehicles parked at various city locations.

About 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, a Toledo police officer stopped a car that matched a witness description at Willys Parkway and Eleanor Avenue in West Toledo.

He then noticed two baseball bats and glass fragments in the car and arrested a passenger in the vehicle identified by authorities as Mr. Stoner and the teenage driver, police said.

The teenager, whose age was not available, was charged with delinquency in connection with the incidents and was booked into the Lucas County Juvenile Justice Center, police said.

His name was being withheld.
