Trial dates in two unrelated murder cases were postponed in Lucas County Common Pleas Court Monday at the defendants' requests.

Davion Wilson, 16, of 1260 Buckingham St. is charged with one count each of murder, attempt to commit murder, and felonious assault, each with a gun specification, for the Dec. 30 shooting death of Deadrick Rocker, 17, and injury to a 16-year-old.

Judge Linda Jennings rescheduled his trial to May 29 at the request of his attorney.

Before another judge, Charles Toyer, Jr., appeared and requested a new trial date.

Mr. Toyer, 21, of 1527 Western Ave., was charged with murder and voluntary manslaughter after he allegedly stabbed 23-year-old Tiffany Wilborn, a mother of two, during a March 11 incident at the Western Avenue address, authorities said. Judge Dean Mandros set his trial for July 9.

In both cases, the defendants face life in prison if convicted.
