Man accused of strangling girlfriend arraigned

Two Toledo men, each recently returned to Lucas County, were arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court Saturday on unrelated murder charges.

Thomas Lee Ellison, Jr., 24, of 2510 Foracker returned to Lucas County Friday after being arrested by U.S. marshals in Cincinnati. He is charged in the strangulation death of his girlfriend, Jazmon Hoskins, 21, who was found dead Thursday inside 3122 Parkwood Ave.

According to court documents, he was ordered held on a $1 million bond and a June 4 preliminary hearing was set.

Also arraigned was Demeko Deshun McDaniel. 21, of 209 Courtland Ave., who was also ordered held on a $1 million bond. He was extradited from Monroe County and is accused of shooting of Junior Francous, 39, multiple times inside his 1018 Bricker Ave. residence Wednesday afternoon. He is also charged with aggravated robbery for allegedly using a gun to threaten a woman and steal her car in the 1100 block of Homer. Bond for the aggravated robbery was set at $100,000.
