Two juveniles who face murder charges in Lucas County Common Pleas Court in unrelated cases requested new trial dates Tuesday.

Davion Wilson, who turned 17 this weekend, of 1260 Buckingham St. is charged with one count each of murder, attempt to commit murder, and felonious assault, each with a gun specification, for the Dec. 30 shooting death of Deadrick Rocker, 17, and injury to a 16-year-old.

Judge Linda Jennings rescheduled his trial to July 9.

The judge also set a new trial date for Jacob Rodriguez, 16, of Oregon, who is charged with one count each of murder, felonious assault, and aggravated robbery, each with gun specifications for the Jan. 10 shooting death of a man found in an East Toledo field. His new trial date is July 30.

The teen is one of two people charged in the shooting death of Rory Hunter, 23, found dead in a field in the 1100 block of East Broadway near Stillman Street. Devon Daly, 18, of Northwood faces similar charges and has a June 11 trial date.

In each case, the teens face life in prison if convicted.
