Toledoan in court on assault charge

A Toledo man appeared in Toledo Municipal Court Friday morning on a charge he shot a man this month.

Jason Bragg, 34, of 2910 Fulton St. is charged with one count of felonious assault. He was held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Police allege the suspect shot Sherroun Adams, 21, in the chest June 4 in the 1000 block of West Woodruff Avenue, according to court documents.

The victim had part of a lung removed because of the injury, the court document states.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday.
