A Toledo man on probation for misdemeanor convictions involving theft from the elderly pleaded guilty in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to a similar, but unrelated, offense.
Joseph Adamski, 43, of 1732 Arlington Ave. pleaded guilty to theft from the elderly. He faces up to 18 months in prison when sentenced Aug. 7 by Judge Myron Duhart.
Adamski admitted he was paid about $2,500 in 2007 to do a roofing job for a 77-year-old man and failed to do any work. He was originally charged with two counts of theft, because he was paid in two installments, but one count will be dismissed.
As part of the plea, Adamski agreed to pay full restitution.
Adamski was sentenced in March to two years' probation, including 60 days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, after pleading guilty to two misdemeanor counts of attempted theft from the elderly. The cases included similar charges of being paid for work that was never performed.
