Suspects under arrest in Perrysburg Township homicide

The search for two Toledo brothers wanted for their roles in a fatal shooting in Perrysburg Township is over, after authorities took the second man into custody today.
Both Jose Moya, Jr., 23, and Raul Moya, 18, were arraigned Wednesday in Perrysburg Municipal Court.
The elder Moya, who turned himself in to authorities Tuesday, was arraigned Wednesday morning on a murder charge. Bond was set at $545,000, including $500,000 for the murder count and $45,000 for previous, unrelated charges of aggravated menacing, falsification, and obstruction of official business.
Authorities say he killed 21-year-old Leandra Frankum, his on-again, off-again girlfriend, who was found shot in the head Sunday afternoon in the hallway of a house at 25864 Broad St. in Perrysburg Heights.
His brother, Raul, who was wanted for obstruction of justice in the Sunday shooting, was arrested by U.S. marshals at about 1 p.m. Wednesday in Toledo without incident and was arraigned on one count of obstructing justice. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison, and a $10,000 fine.

Judge Dwight Osterud set bond at $75,000 and submitted a not-guilty plea on the accused’s behalf.
Raul Moya was also arraigned on two outstanding misdemeanor counts of aggravated menacing and falsification.
Both brothers were held later Wednesday in lieu of bond at the Wood County jail, with preliminary hearings scheduled for each on Aug. 2.
Todd Curtis, a Perrysburg Township police detective, said Ms. Frankum and the elder Moya had quarreled about their relationship’s breakup and described the shooting as a domestic violence situation.
Raul Moya hindered authorities’ efforts to apprehend his older brother, the detective said, declining to elaborate.
The homicide is the 27th in the Toledo metro area this year.
