A Toledo woman accused of shooting her neighbor is to be arraigned next week in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Marilyn Doss, 55, of 1146 Fernwood Ave. is to appear in court Thursday. She was indicted July 20 by a county grand jury on one count of felonious assault with a gun specification. She could face up to 11 years in prison if convicted.

Ms. Doss is accused of shooting Timothy Brazzel, 53, in the street on Fernwood. He was shot in the right side of the forehead, although the bullet did not penetrate his skull.

Police said the two had a quarrel July 12 that escalated after the victim allegedly punched Ms. Doss and her daughter in their heads. The suspect is accused of going into her home and coming back with a 22-caliber revolver, firing two rounds.
