An arrest warrant has been issued for the leader of a private equity group that owns the Spitzer Building after he repeatedly failed to appear in Toledo Municipal Court.

Koray Ergur pleaded no contest in March to a misdemeanor charge related to unresolved violations of the city’s building code for fire alarm systems in the Spitzer Building. He has since failed to appear at multiple court dates. Judge Allen McConnell issued the warrant after Mr. Ergur again failed to appear.

Mr. Ergur’s firm owns both the Spitzer and Nicholas buildings in downtown Toledo. Both are moving through foreclosure proceedings.
