Court deputy Vincent Fisher, a unit manager in the Lucas County courthouse, was named court officer of the year for the northwest Ohio region.

The award was presented Thursday by Ohio Supreme Court Justice Evelyn Lundberg-Stratton at the Ohio Baliffs and Court Officers Association’'s fall conference. Deputy Fisher was one of four officers in the state honored at the event.

Deputy Fisher, who is also a special deputy in Henry County, joined the court deputy department in May, 2000. He is responsible for perimeter security of the courthouse.
