Devonte Blanks was convicted Thursday in the stabbing of a Toledo man during an argument at a West Toledo home.

Blanks, 21, of 1829 Marlowe Rd., pleaded guilty to attempted felonious assault in an information filed in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

The conviction stems from a Jan. 30 attack on Arnold Oliver III, 29, in a duplex at 641 Eleanor Ave. Judge Ruth Ann Franks scheduled Blanks to be sentenced May 13. He could be sentenced up to five years in prison.
