BOWLING GREEN — A Stockbridge, Ga., truck driver charged with human trafficking violations was convicted of abduction in Wood County Common Pleas Court.

Darien L. McKinley, 30, entered an Alford plea to the amended charge before Judge Alan Mayberry on Monday — the day he was scheduled to go to trial on a charge of kidnapping with a specification that alleged the crime was committed with a sexual motivation.

Judge Mayberry sentenced McKinley to three years in prison on the third-degree felony. McKinley was arrested June 9 in Shelby County after a 17-year-old Kentucky girl told authorities she had been kidnapped and then left at a rest stop along I-75 near Bowling Green.
