A Toledo teenager is to be sentenced May 15 for shooting another youth and firing a shot at a city police officer.

Titus Crittendon, 16, of 731 Pinewood Ave. pleaded no contest and was found guilty of two counts of felonious assault and a gun specification Wednesday by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gary Cook.

Crittendon, who was certified to stand trial as an adult in the case, shot Tyreece Richardson, 17, in the hip near Nicholas Street and Prouty Avenue on Thanksgiving. When police arrived, Crittendon fired a single shot at Officer Melvin Russell.
