Toledoan indicted for 2nd robbery

A Toledo man recently indicted for robbing a 60-year-old woman at gunpoint was indicted Wednesday for holding up a KFC restaurant in Sylvania.

Travis L. Welch, 31, who is in prison in connection with an unrelated case in Seneca County, was indicted on a new charge of aggravated robbery with a firearm specification in the robbery of the West Alexis Road restaurant on Dec. 22.

According to Sylvania police, he is accused of threatening a manager with a handgun, assaulting him, and robbing the business of cash from a safe. In a separate incident, Welch is charged with robbing a Toledo woman, who gave him a ride home Jan. 13, of money and her vehicle.
