BOWLING GREEN — A young mother who admitted shaking her infant son was sentenced Friday to 18 months in prison.

Wood County Common Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey imposed the sentence on Erin N. Taylor, 20, who now lives in Wauseon.

She had pleaded guilty in March to one count of endangering children for an April 26, 2012, incident involving her then-6-month-old son. He was taken to Wood County Hospital after reportedly suffering seizures but a medical exam revealed a fractured skull and other bleeding wounds.

Defense attorney Scott Coon said the child is now being cared for by Taylor’s mother.
