Car dealership drops suit against attorney

A Toledo car dealership has dropped its defamation lawsuit against Toledo attorney Mark Davis after Mr. Davis retracted previous comments he had made about the dealership on his Facebook page.

Franklin Park Lincoln Inc. sued Mr. Davis in Lucas County Common Pleas Court in April, 2012 — about a month after Mr. Davis sued the dealership on behalf of Michael Boileau of Toledo, claiming the dealership had “mocked and humiliated” Mr. Boileau because of his hearing impairment and breached the contract the dealership had with him over the purchase of a vehicle.

John Naayers, attorney for the dealership, said when it was shown the dealership actually had done “everything it could to accommodate” Mr. Boileau, Mr. Davis agreed to drop the suit and issue a retraction on Facebook.

In turn, Franklin Park Lincoln dropped its suit.
